Simulation – Emulation

The complexity of intralogistics systems and the high, ever changing demands of our customers on their system installations require to consider any possible eventualities already before the realization of the project. ERG utilizies an efficient simulation tool by which the most different scenarios can be analyzed. This guarantees that the optimum size of a system installation is conceived right in the beginning. Different simulation processes are available, depending on the particular performance requirements:

- Realistic generation of articles and orders.
- Weakpoint / bottleneck analysis.
- Performance of experiments.
- Collection of statistical data.
- Resource planning / scheduling

Finally, the simulation results in an emulation: warehouse management and material flow functions can be tested under conditions close to reality at a point in time, when the system installation is not available yet.
