Double Depth

Double Depth

By reducing the number of access aisles and using the space saved to accommodate additional racking, a double deep racking configuration provides a highly space-efficient storage system operating on a first in, last out (FILO) system. Although the speed of access to all of the pallet positions is restricted, with an efficient stock management system this can easily be compensated for to take advantage of the increased storage density. Due to the depth of double deep racking you will require specialist fork truck with either extending forks or side forks.  Therefore the type of fork lift trucks you have will dictate the type of racking required unless it is a complete new installation of trucks and racking.

Benefits of Double Depth:

- Efficient use of floor space with a good aisle/shelving ratio.

- Increase storage density by around 30-40% with good selectivity.

- Keep product lines together by storing two pallets deep.

- Easily reconfigured to adjust shelf levels or convert to selective racking.

- A Cost-effective racking configuration.

- Easily relocated and easily converted to/from single deep system.

- Variety of frames profiles and adjustable beam levels to choose from for re-configuring the pallet size to fit changing requirements.
